I’m New

Learning about a new church, taking the leap of faith to visit and reaching out to connect can be a stressful, yet exciting time. At HRBC, we hope to make that process as easy as possible and covered by the Lord’s love and grace. Below is a “Connect” form you can use to send us any information or communication you would like for us to know so that we can understand how best to minister to you. Also, you can sign up for a monthly newsletter that will keep you up to date with special events and church happenings. Making guests and new members feel at home is a high priority so please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Helpful information

Parking
We have parking right up front for our guests as well as handicap accessible parking.

Bible study
If you arriving for Sunday School at 9:45 a.m., please go to the Educational Building to find your class. A volunteer will greet you and guide you to your class.

How should I dress?
You’ll find our members dress in everything from casual wear to suits, with younger members preferring more casual attire. Please wear what you find comfortable for worship. We care more about your presence than your clothes.

What about my children?
Our children’s ministry includes Sunday School for children of all ages. Children learn about God’s Word and how it applies to their lives through a variety of learning activities, including Bible stories, games and crafts.

Nursery care is provided for children through age four during both Sunday School and Worship Service. A volunteer will be happy to lead you to the nursery where a trained nursery worker will care for your children while you worship or attend class.

What is the worship service like?
Our worship service begins at 11:00 a.m. and follows a traditional style, including congregational hymns, a brief prayer time, and special music from the choir and praise team to prepare our hearts to receive the message from God’s Word. We print the entire order of service in the bulletin so you will be able to follow along with no surprises. Services usually last an hour and fifteen minutes.

Will I be singled out as a visitor?
We know it can be awkward visiting a new church for the first time, so we don’t want to do anything to make you feel uncomfortable. We’re a friendly church, so you’ll be greeted by our members before and after the service. We’d love to have a record of your visit so please be sure to fill out a guest card that will be directly in front of your seat.

After the worship service concludes, you will be asked to take your guest card to a greeter as you leave. At that time you will receive a gift in exchange for your guest card.
